తెలుగు సినిమా చరిత్రలో మరో కొత్తఅధ్యాయానికి నాంది పలికే రోజు.

ఈ రోజే అనీష్ కురివిల్లా రూపొందించిన Confessions of a Filmmaker విడుదలయ్యే రోజు.

ప్రస్తుత తెలుగు సినిమా దుస్థితిని తెరకెక్కించే ప్రయత్నం చేసిన అనీష్ సినిమా అనుకున్నట్టుగానే మామూలు సినిమాలలాగా థియేటర్లలో విడుదల కావటం లేదు. అంత మాత్రాన ఆ సినిమా చూసే అవకాశం మనకు లేదనుకోకండి. త్వరలో మీ ఇంటి కంప్యూటర్ స్క్రీన్ పై ఈ సినిమా ప్రత్యక్షమవబోతోంది. గతంలో ఎన్నడూ లేని విధంగా ఒక తెలుగు సినిమా పూర్తిగా ఇంటర్నెట్ పై రిలీజ్ కావడం మొదటిసారి. తెలుగు సిని పరిశ్రమపై తన ఆవేశాన్ని వెల్లగక్కిన అనీష్ అసలా సినిమా తీయాల్సిన అవసరముందా ? అతను చేసిన ప్రయత్నం మంచిదా ? కాదా? అనే విషయంలో వేర్వేరు అభిప్రాయాలు వ్యక్తమవుతున్నప్పటికీ ఎవరో ఒకరు తప్పులు ఎత్తి చూపాలి అన్న ఉద్దేశంతో అనీష్ తీసిన సినిమా ఇంటెర్నెట్లో రిలీజ్ చేయడం మాత్రం విభిన్న ప్రయత్నమే!

కొంతమందికి మాత్రమే అందుబాటులో ఉండేలా కట్టడి చేసి తమ ఇష్టానుసారం సినిమాలు తీస్తున్న మన సినీ ప్రముఖలకు ఈ సినిమా మంచి సమాధానం. ప్రపంచపు దేశాలన్నింటిలోను ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమా వెలుగులు కొద్దో గొప్పో వెలుగుతున్నప్పటికీ మన దగ్గర ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమా అనే concept దాదాపు లేనట్టే! తక్కువ వ్యయంతో డిజిటల్ ఫార్మట్ లో గ్రహణం సినిమా తీసి మోహన్ కృష్ణ కొత్త మార్గాన్ని సృష్టించినట్టే ఇప్పుడూ అనీష్ తన సినిమాని ఇంటర్నెట్లో రిలీజ్ చేయడం ద్వారా తెలుగు సిని పరిశ్రమలో మరో కొత్త శకం మొదలవబోతోంది.

గతంలో నేను రాసిన వ్యాసంలో ఈ సినిమా అనవసర ప్రయత్నం అని నిందించినప్పటికీ , తన సినిమాను ఇంటర్నెట్లో విడుదల చేసే ప్రయ్త్నాన్ని మాత్రం కొనియాడకుండా వుండలేకపోతున్నాను. ఈ సినిమా ఇంటర్నెట్లో విడుదలయ్యి ప్రేక్షకాదరణ పొందితే మాత్రం రాబోయే తరానికి మార్గదర్శకమవుతుంది. ఈ సినిమా లో బూతులున్నాయని భూతం లా చూడకండి. నిజ జీవితంలో మనమెంతమంది బూతులు మాట్లాడం చెప్పండి. మన వాళ్ళకి ఆంగ్లంలో Fu* k ఆంటే బూతుకాదు కానీ తెలుగులో దెం*కోవడం అంతే పచ్చి బూతు. అదృష్టవశాత్తూ ఇంకా ఇంటర్నెట్ సెన్సార్ భారిన పడలేదు. మన ఆవేశాన్ని ఆలోచనలను ఎలా ఐతే బ్లాగుల ద్వార వ్యక్తం చేయవచ్చో అలాగే ఇలాంటి ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమా ద్వారా మనం చెప్పాలనుకునే కథలు చెప్పుకోవచ్చు.

అనీష్ చేసిన Confessions కనీ విని ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమాకి మన సపోర్ట్ ప్రకటిద్దాం. ఈ సినిమా ని మనమందరం చూసి ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమాని రక్షిదాం. దయచేసి ఈ సినిమాని download చేసి youtube లేదా google video లాంటి సైట్లలో పెట్టకండి. కనీసం ఇలాంటి సినిమాలనైనా పైరసీ భారిన పడకుండా రక్షించడం మనందరి భాధ్యత.

Confessions of a Filmmaker – సినిమా గురించి

సినీపరిశ్రమలో పదేళ్ళపాటు పనిచేసి అన్ని రకాల ఆటుపోట్లకు గురైన కమల్ అనే యువకుని కథ ఈ Confessions of a filmmaker. పదేళ్ళగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్నా మంచి సినిమాలు తీసే అవకాశం రాక దిగులు , ఆవేశం , ఆక్రోషం కలగలిపిన తన ఆవెదనను తోటి స్నేహితుని సాయంతో పదిరోజులపాటు కెమెరాలో బంధిస్తాడు. అలా కెమెరా పై చిత్రీకరించిన ఒక వ్యక్తి మనోభావాల సంగ్రహమే ఈ సినిమా.

ఈ సినిమా గురించి అనీష్ మాటల్లో చెప్పాలంటే ” COF was first started as a blog (confessionsofafilmmaker.blogspot.com), where I began writing about my thoughts on telugu cinema and the value system in place here. I wrote often, every time I watched a film, or every time something of significance seemed to happen, sometimes just to help me gather my thoughts after work….

In time it occurred to me that I could make all that I was writing about into a movie. I wrote the script for COF in one night. Choosing Kamal Kamaraju was an easy and first choice. Easy, because I had worked with him earlier and instinctively knew he was the perfect guy for the part. And that’s pretty much it. I got hold of a camera, filled up the tank of my car and we started shooting. a 3 member crew, with me directing,producing and shooting, Kamal acting and Ravi my associate. yep that’s it…..just 3 people.

Less than 4 weeks later, shooting was wrapped and we found ourselves coping with the rigors of post-production. I had shot the entire film in English, then decided to re-dub it in telugu, because I didn’t want to alienate this film from its core audience. I also decided to take my own time making it,I wanted to work, with the film,I wanted to let it take me in..

I never had a release plan…I still don’t….I don’t know what the future holds for the movie, but I know it will find its audience. From the onset I knew it was a film I was making for myself…but then isn’t film-making nowadays all about self-indulgence anyway? Why make the film in the first place? Because I feel the telugu film industry has for a long time been a very closed society. A society which controls what it shows to the public, and a media which doesn’t shed true light on reality. That’s a scenario I was uncomfortable with and most importantly when is anyone here ever going to make a film because they have a story to tell? and not an actors date they hold…

This is a film which asks the folks in the industry to make themselves more accountable to the general public and stop living in their built up reality. It’s a story of one film-makers distress at his work and the legacy he is going to leave behind. This is not just a film about a guy who makes his own movie….its a film about a guy who was once in love…in love with the movies….an industry which has let him down now… ”

దాదాపు పదేళ్ళగా ఇండస్ట్రీ లో వున్న అనీష్ మనసులోని భావాలే ఈ సినిమాలో వ్యక్తపరిచారా ? ఇన్నేళ్ళగా అతను చూసిన ఘోరాలన్నీ మనకళ్ళముందుకు తెచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేసారా ? ఈ సినిమా ద్వారా ప్రేక్షకుల్లో మరియు సినీ ప్రముఖుల్లో ఏ మాత్రం చలనం చైతన్యం కలిగినా అందుకు మొత్తం క్రెడిట్ అనీష్ కే దక్కుతుంది. ఇండస్త్రీ ఇలా ఉందని మనకి చెప్పిన అనీష్ ఈ సినిమాలోని ప్రముఖ పాత్రధారి కమల్ లాగ నీరసపడిపోయాడా ?లేక ఈ సినిమా తర్వాత మంచి సినిమా తీసి తన సినిమాలో రేపిన ప్రశ్నాస్త్రాలకు తనే సమాధానం చెప్తాడా? అని వేచిచూడల్సిన విషయమే! కానీ అతనికి మంచి సినిమా తీసే ఉత్సాహం కల్పించాల్సిన బాధ్యత మాత్రం మనమీద వుంది. ఈ రోజే వెళ్ళి అనీష్ చేసిన confessions చూడండి.

PS:As per Anish’s blog he is facing some technical problems in uploading and encoding the film on to the server. If everything goes well we will be able to watch the film on 15th. In case if some thing goes wrong the internet release might get postponed. Lets wish him all the best.
